The CCI – HWK Vocational Training Improvement Project has made significant strides in enhancing drywall partitioning skills through two recent programs held at the Industrial Engineering Training Institute (IETI) in Katubedda. These programs, designed for both private and public sector trainers, provided comprehensive training in lightweight partitioning (dry wall) – ceiling techniques.
From July 30th to August 3rd, 2024, the first program catered to private sector professionals. The training, focusing on “Lightweight Partitioning (Dry Wall) – Ceiling Techniques,” welcomed participants from various notable companies. The roster included:

Renowned experts Mariusz Dechnig and Vitali Romme, Master Painters and Varnishers from Handwerkskammer Frankfurt-Rhein-Main, led the training sessions. Their expertise provided invaluable insights into the advanced techniques of drywall partitioning.
Program Content Overview:
Theoretical Training:
– Basics : Introduction to important drywall systems, acoustic systems, fire protection systems, and moisture protection.
– Drywall Project Planning : Emphasis on technical documentation, tools, and materials in drywall construction.
– Drywall Ceiling Systems : Covered board ceilings with metal grids, joint formation, and plasterboard filling.
Practical Training:
– Construction and Installation : Participants engaged in creating standardized and non-standard ceilings, including self-supporting ceilings without fire protection, and two-layer planked ceilings with fire protection.
– Technical Skills : Techniques included fastening substructures with hangers, and installing plates on metal substructures.
These comprehensive programs aimed to elevate the skills of professionals in the drywall sector, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle contemporary challenges in construction. The success of these training sessions underscores CCI – HWK’s commitment to vocational excellence and workforce development across various sectors.
